WORKSHOPS and panel sessions
*Please note that the programme is subject to change*
Wednesday 05 July
Workshops 1: 12:15pm - 1:10pm
Panel Session 1 - Surviving all things Finance: 2:20pm - 3:50pm Brought to you by ASB
The popularity of the various finance workshops during the 2022 conference had some workshops so packed some BMs had to stand or found themselves sitting on floor! Coupled with this and based on 2022 conference feedback in this area, we have worked this year towards providing a participative, interactive panel discussion involving all Business Managers covering all things finance. The panel is made up of representatives from the MoE, OAG, External Auditor Provider, Financial Service Provider and SBM. We are fortunate to have those on the panel also being on the MoE Finance Sector Group who meet several times a year tackling issues and challenges in the sector. Facilitated by our President, initially there will be background information provided and then the floor will be opened up to BMs to have an interactive discussion on finance and audit matters. So bring along your questions and let’s get the most out of this session so we can take back a good survival guide in this area.
Finance not part of your job and you feel you would not get any benefit out of attending this panel session? Then join our alternative white board topic workshop which will be facilitated by the SBM in a separate breakout room.
Panel:
Chad Britton (Ministry of Education)
Tuzla Lathiff (Office of the Auditor-General)
Hamish Anton (Deloitte)
Shelley Young (Solutions and Services)
Troy Gerbich (School Business Managers Association)
